ChickJitsu Black Force

Over 100 hundred competitors attended ChickJitsu all-female grappling tournament in Summerville, SC. The event took place at Black Force MMA, a local gym owned by Professor Dwight Decker. The competitors enjoyed an outpouring of support from family, friends, coaches and teammates. The excitement of the matches and enthusiasm of the audience made for a fun family event. The displays of solidarity and sportsmanship between the ladies were inspiring, with athletes from opposing teams hugging and encouraging each other before and after matches. The ladies of Black Force MMA, the host gym, showed up with a team of 20 athletes and took home several wins. The event which offered Jiujiteiras of all ages an opportunity to compete was very well organized and matches ran as scheduled, giving out a $500 cash prize to the winner of the NoGi absolute, Melissa Sheppey. Congratulations to Jepha Mooi, the woman and Jiujiteira behind ChickJitsu and staff for the success of the event. The next one takes place in Florida on April 23rd.
