The Jiujiteiras of Abu Dhabi World Masters 2022
With $500,000 in cash prizes, the biggest Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the world continues to give women a platform to shine in the sport

From November 11th through the 19th, the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation is holding its biggest event of the year. The 14th edition of the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship. And the women are already showcasing their Jiu-Jitsu among the best athletes in the world during the Masters division portion of the event taking place, November 15th and 16th.
In regards to the opportunities UAEJJF continues to extend to women athlete Bianca Basilio had this to say: “It means a lot to us that are competing and living from the sport. It is an important recognition, as women are increasingly representing the best Jiu-Jitsu everywhere in the world.”
On the card to compete this year are black-belt Jiujiteiras Ana Rodrigues, Gabriela Pereira, Beatriz Mesquita, Thalyta Silva, Ingridd Sousa, Gabrieli Pessanha, to name a few.
The Abu Dhabi World Pro is by far one of the biggest and most significant Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu professional tournaments in the world with more than US$500,000 in cash prizes awarded to the athletes between all of the divisions, from blue to black belts, male and female.
Event Schedule:
- November 10th (Thursday): Weigh-ins for next-day divisions.
- November 11th (Friday): 10 AM Elimination and finals (kids)/1 PM Elimination and finals (Infant, Junior, Teen, Youth Division)/3:30 Finals Para Jiu Jitsu.
- November 12th (Saturday): Elimination and finals of amateur divisions.
- November 13th (Sunday): Elimination and finals of youth girls’ divisions.
- November 14th (Monday): Elimination and finals of youth boys’ divisions.
- November 15th (Tuesday): Elimination and finals of all masters blue and purple belts. Master 1 black and brown belts also compete in country qualifying brackets.
- November 16th (Wednesday): Elimination and finals of all masters black and brown belt divisions.
- November 17th (Thursday): Pro purple, brown, and black belt country qualifiers.
- November 18th (Friday): Main brackets of pro divisions and third-place matches.
- November 19th (Saturday): Women’s brown/black belt and men’s black belt divisions Finals.
- November 19th (Saturday): Awards ceremony.
