Are We Making Excuses Not to Train?
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a male dominated martial art. However, there is a large amount of women who love this sport but many feel they have to sacrifice other areas of their lives to be able to train consistently or quit training all together. Does BJJ require a greater commitment from women in comparison to men to be able to succeed? In this honest chat between ADCC 2022 champion, Amy Campo, and Jiujiteira Magazine editor Evelyn Sutton, we explore some of the challenges women face in Jiu-Jitsu and the risk of using excuses to justify poor performance or leave the sport.
