February, the shortest month of the year, was still filled with a lot of Jiu-Jitsu. This month, I covered the EBI Qualifier in El Paso Texas and the second installment of Medusa Female Only Jiu-Jitsu in Cancún, Mexico. With the return of EBI, the excitement included a lot of new grapplers looking for an opportunity to make it to the big stage. Recently, the state of Texas, called Cancún the “new mecca of Jiu-Jitsu”, for the city has been welcoming to many new promotions. The EBI qualifier winner, Omer Emancely, secured his spot to compete at EBI.
